China is known for its rich cultural heritage and instantly recognizable architectural style, but in recent decades the temptation to develop modern buildings, as well as to both appeal to tourists, and provide citizens with views of the rest of the world without having to leave their own country, a number of suspiciously familiar structures have been built in China.

Things had started to get so ridiculous that the government has recently issued a decree banning this so-called duplitecture. From entire towns developed to look like somewhere else, to individual monuments that are virtual clones, these are 15 weird Chinese replica copycat buildings.
