A KEITH^® WALKING FLOOR^® system is a “moving floor” self-unloader consisting of a series of floor slats powered by a hydraulic drive. As the floor cycles through its phases, material is conveyed or unloaded. Unloading is horizontal, so no hoist or tipping is required.

KEITH has adapted its proven WALKING FLOOR® technology to numerous industries, resulting in a safer, more efficient unloader. The Contractor Unloading System is a self-unloader for smaller vehicles. Installing a KEITH® WALKING FLOOR® system in the truck body provides versatile unloading options for landscape and road maintenance applications.

Systems provide four-season utility by delivering road salt in the winter, mulch materials in the spring, gravel and asphalt for summer road repairs, and leaves and other debris in the autumn.

The Contractor System safely unloads on uneven ground; provides a controlled material discharge; and can unload in windy conditions. Another benefit is that there is no risk of hitting overhead hazards during unloading. Because the system unloads horizontally, there is no threat of an inexperienced driver raising the bed and hitting utility lines, tree limbs or buildings. It also eliminates the chance of a driver traveling down the road with the trailer elevated.

Including a KEITH® CleenSweep® system produces superior clean out. The WALKING FLOOR® system automatically unloads the truck bed, while the CleenSweep® tarp system “sweeps” the floor as it unloads. Floor slats are available to handle a variety of materials, from mulch to aggregate.
