Upcoming Webinar – Adopting Innovations to Improve Durability and Sustainability While Adhering to Concrete Codes and Standards

Date: Tuesday, November 30
Time: 10:30 am PT | 12:30 pm CT | 1:30 pm ET

Duration: 45 minutes

Professor Douglas Hooton is the NSERC/CAC Industrial Research Chair in Concrete Durability and Sustainability and Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto. Dr. Hooton’s research has informed the development of ASTM and ACI standards. He offers a unique perspective on how architects, structural engineers, contractors, and concrete producers can benefit from innovations in concrete design while continuing to adhere to standards and codes.

Join world-renowned concrete expert, Dr. Douglas Hooton, on November 30 to learn how to:

  • Evaluate the impacts on strength and durability of concrete made with supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), portland-limestone cement, and carbon dioxide mineralization (CarbonCure) in conformance with ASTM C94 and ACI-318
  • Assess the limitations of tests, specifications, and other considerations related to modern concrete technologies
  • Efficiently adopt performance-based specifications to make room for innovation and sustainability in concrete production
