Residential builders in Regina can finally submit permit applications online thanks to eBuild, launched by the City of Regina on Tuesday.
“eBuild is another example of the City’s commitment to provide more consistent, convenient and effective ways of delivering service to customers,” said a city news release. “Improving the building permit process is one way we are responding to customer needs and attracting continued investment in our City.”
Initially, the new online tool will accept seven types of residential permit applications: deck/sunroom, basement development, foundation repair, garage/carport, alteration/renovation, addition, single-family dwelling. Customers can also use eBuild to track the status of their application, and to communicate with the city in an “efficient and streamlined way, all while ensuring legislated building permit regulations are being met.”
Eventually, applicants will also be able to pay fees online and submit commercial, and planning and development permits.
