Alert Labs Monitor Water at Construction Sites-1200-600
November 27, 2020

Avoiding Construction Site Water Damage Now Easier Than Ever

During the Buildings Week 2020 virtual expo (Nov. 30th – Dec. 4th), Alert Labs will be featuring its award-winning water leak and flood solutions that have saved customers across North America over $10M. You can now minimize the risk of water damage at any building type (including buildings under construction) with Alert Labs professional–grade smart water sensors and Building Insights Platform. These customizable and scalable solutions also help reduce wasted water with 24/7 monitoring of all water flow.

Even if your construction site doesn’t have wired or wireless networks installed, you can remotely monitor water systems such as fire sprinklers, irrigation, and cooling towers. But how is this possible?

Alert Labs solutions are cellular-connected and provide 24/7 remote monitoring and alerts for the most common causes of water loss, even during power outages. WiFi and wired networks are not required. The sensors are low cost, install without tools, and reduce water expenses by identifying sources of water waste.

All the water usage at a building is monitored minute-by-minute and alerts are sent to your phone for events such as leaks, floods, temperature, humidity and power outages. Customized water usage thresholds can be set so that if water usage goes above a rate of 0.5 gal/min, for example, you receive an alert.

The leak and flood sensors can be installed during any phase of construction from unoccupied to fully occupied buildings. Setting up the sensors for an entire building takes less than a day and can be accomplished by anyone regardless of technical background. Learning to use the Building Insights Dashboard can be accomplished in minutes and sharing the information with team members is as simple as clicking a button. Because getting started is so easy, you’ll quickly benefit from responding to water events as fast as possible.

“Response time to a flood situation in any building is critical for minimizing damage and insurance claims,” says George Tsintzouras, CEO and Co-founder of Alert Labs. “Our water sensors and software platform can help construction teams know what’s happening at the building site — even during off-hours. Our smart building technology can help you monitor buildings for water damage during all phases of construction, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in deductibles, insurance premiums and repairs.”

The company offers a full range of water monitoring solutions, from water flow and flood sensors, to an automatic water shut-off valve and sump pump sensor.

If you’re attending Buildings Week, please connect with us at the Alert Labs virtual booth or plan to attend our free seminar: TSW506 – How to Improve Net Operating Income (NOI) at Your Buildings with Smart Sensor Technology on Tuesday, December 1st @ 1:00 PM EST.
