CRCA Roofing Publications

The Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) produces several publications that provide in-depth technical information for the entire Canadian roofing industry.

The Canadian Roofing Specifications Manual is a comprehensive source of roofing specifications and detailing for roofing membranes and assemblies that are installed in Canada including built-up roofing, EPDM, TPO, PVC, hot rubberized asphalt and asphalt shingles. The manual is beneficial to architects, engineers, specifiers, building owners, contractors and manufacturers. The manual is now available for $50 (CDN) including taxes and shipping for the duration of The Buildings Show.

The Canadian Roofing Reference Manual is the go-to roof training and skill upgrading manual. It contains theoretical and practical information that is needed to perform roofing tasks that are set out in the National Training Standards for both roofing apprentices and journeypersons. The manual serves as a jobsite reference that assists roofers conduct their jobs safely and effectively. Within its pages, you will find information on the installation of roofing membranes and assemblies including modified bitumen, single ply, hot rubberized asphalt, and asphalt shingles. In additional, there are extensive sections on general workplace safety practices including roofing equipment, fire and torch safety. The Roofing Reference Manual is available for $85 (CDN).
