PCL Construction has made significant strides in 2024, with notable leadership promotions and employee recognition, further strengthening its reputation in the construction industry. From promotions within the Toronto office to prestigious industry awards, PCL continues to lead by example in leadership, diversity, and industry excellence.

Geoff Howe Promoted to Senior Vice President and District Manager of PCL Toronto

PCL Construction has promoted Geoff Howe to the role of Senior Vice President and District Manager for its Toronto office. Geoff will now oversee PCL’s operations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and southwestern Ontario. In his new role, Geoff joins an accomplished management team alongside Monique Buckberger and Myke Badry, who both continue in their respective roles as Vice Presidents and District Managers. Together, they will drive the company’s operations and strategic initiatives in one of Canada’s most vital construction markets.

Geoff Howe steps into the position previously held by Marc Pascoli, who has been promoted to Regional Vice President. In his new role, Marc will have oversight of PCL’s operations in the Toronto area and its growing Solar division. Marc will continue to be based in Toronto, ensuring seamless leadership continuity across these regions.

Celebrating Excellence: PCL Employees Honored at 2024 CAWIC Awards

PCL’s dedication to excellence and diversity was recognized at the 2024 Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC) National Conference, held from September 10-12 in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Three PCL employees were honored with Excellence Awards, highlighting their outstanding contributions to the construction industry.

  • Lisa Kurina, Operations Manager, received the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Excellence Award for her leadership in fostering an inclusive workplace.
  • Cheyanne Hammell, Special Projects Manager, was awarded the Industry Leadership Award, recognizing her remarkable contributions and leadership within the industry.
  • Grace Xu, Project Coordinator, earned the Emerging Leader Award for her impressive early-career achievements and potential to shape the future of construction.

In addition to these accolades, PCL took an active role at the conference by hosting a panel discussion on Diversity in Leadership: Elevating Women in Construction through Mentorship and Sponsorship.
