RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating and servicing some 425 corporate and affiliated stores, announces the acquisition of a new store in Charlottetown (PEI) by one of its affiliated dealers, Terraine Capital. The store, previously operated under the TIMBER MART banner has transitioned to the RONA banner. This location, which brings the RONA banner to Prince Edward Island, is Terraine Capital’s fourth RONA store, following its previous acquisition (3) in Nova Scotia last March.
Spanning 33,000 square feet, the Charlottetown store features a comprehensive retail space, an extensive indoor lumber and building materials section, and a large outdoor lumberyard. While the store is already well-equipped to serve its Pro customers, Terraine Capital plans to introduce new seasonal product lines and enhance online sales to attract additional DIY customers. The existing team of in-store experts will remain the same.
“As a dealer-owned business, we are deeply committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience and maintaining strong community ties. With this new store, we are excited to meet the needs of both Pro and DIY customers in Charlottetown, while expanding our footprint in Atlantic Canada,” said Adam Barrett, President and CEO, Terraine Capital.
“RONA is thrilled to strengthen its partnership with Adam Barrett, a dynamic entrepreneur from Atlantic Canada. We share a common dedication to providing customers with exceptional service and the right product selection. The Charlottetown community will undoubtedly benefit from his and his team’s expertise,” said Alain Ménard, Senior Vice-President, RONA Affiliated Dealers, RONA inc.
