Renowned architect Bruce Kuwabara receives U of T honorary degree 

Bruce Kuwabara, a prominent Canadian architect and University of Toronto alumnus, has made significant contributions to the field through his work with KPMB Architects. Recognized for blending aesthetics with functionality and sustainability, Kuwabara’s projects include the Gardiner Museum and the Canadian Embassy in Berlin. He emphasizes public spaces and detailed design, winning multiple Governor General’s Medals in Architecture. For his outstanding contributions, he received an honorary Doctor of Laws from U of T and remains committed to integrating sustainability and community-focused design in his practice.
