The ACI Foundation, through its administration of a request for proposal on behalf of ACI’s Innovation Task Group 93-12 (ITG-12), is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to develop code requirements and design provisions for additively constructed above-grade concrete walls for residential structures, aiming to incorporate them into ACI 332 and the International Residential Code (IRC). Currently, there are no published code requirements for such construction methods, and the ITG-12’s mission is to accelerate the development of minimum code requirements for additively constructed concrete walls. The task group seeks proposals to create design and prescriptive code provisions meeting strength, serviceability, and durability requirements, with the ACI Foundation’s Concrete Innovation Council managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The deadline for submissions is March 5, 2024, and interested parties can find additional information and submission requirements on the ACI Foundation’s website.
