VAUGHAN, ON, March 4, 2019 /CNW/ – Collective bargaining agreements for residential construction are set to expire on Tuesday, April 30.

Renewal efforts have commenced and the parties have started the process of renewing the collective agreements, namely the Metropolitan Toronto Apartment Builders Association (MTABA), the Toronto Residential Construction Labour Bureau (TRCLB) and the Durham Residential Construction Labour Bureau (DRCLB) – as well as the individual members of the Ontario Residential Council of Construction Associations (ORCCA). These associations represent builders and trades from across the GTA in both high-rise, mid-rise and low-rise residential construction.

The applicable associations welcome the opportunity to sit down with their counterparts to foster positive negotiations and to come to a new agreement which will govern the terms and conditions of employment from May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2022. The goal, as always, is negotiated settlements the industry can use to build new homes for Ontarians.

WHAT IS RESCON?
