Report on Comments (ROC) toward development of 2018 USHGC and USPSHTC now available for online download

Ontario, Calif. (March 27, 2018) — The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), publisher of the Uniform Solar, Hydronics and Geothermal Code (USHGC TM ) and Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code (USPSHTC TM ) , has posted for online download the 2018 Report on Comments (ROC) for the 2018 editions of these American National Standard designated model codes. The ROC is the technical committee report on the actions taken by the technical committee accompanied by a ballot statement and one or more comments resulting from public review of the Report on Proposals (ROP).

Interested parties are encouraged to download the documents at the following URLs:

The USHGC and USPSHTC are model codes developed by IAPMO to govern the installation and inspection of solar energy and hydronic and geothermal energy systems, and swimming pool, spa, and hot tub systems, respectively, as a means of promoting the public’s health, safety, and welfare. The 2018 edition of each code, scheduled for publication later this year, is being developed through a process accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Anyone may appeal to the executive committee of the USHGC/USPSHTC in accordance with Section 9.0 of the IAPMO Regulations Governing Consensus Development of the USHGC and USPSHTC , which can be viewed by accessing the following URL: http://codes.iapmo.org/docs/2018/Regulations%20for%20the%20consensus%20development%20of%20the% 20USEHC%20and%20USPSHTC.pdf
