Newfoundland and Labrador construction industry gathers for annual conference

As reported in The Telegram, professionals in the province’s construction industry are coming together this week to share ideas, address challenges and explore future opportunities in the industry.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association (NLCA) annual conference kicks off Thursday in St. John’s.

Craig Drover, conference chair, says the construction industry is always evolving and it’s important to ensure the association’s members are ready to compete in a global landscape.

Despite a perceived downturn in the province’s economy, he said, there are opportunities on the horizon and the association’s members are engaged and enthusiastic about the future.

He said the annual conference is an important event for members.

“The communication and exchange of ideas with other construction professionals is integral to the future success of the construction industry in our province,” he said. “Create solutions, learn about the newest products and services and immerse yourself in an environment where dialogue and effective problem solving are on the forefront. NLCA’s conference and trade show will help you enhance your role as an industry leader and agent for continuous growth.”

The NLCA has nearly 700 members province wide.
