Debut Clean Energy District Heating Area to feature at next month’s ISH China & CIHE

Asia’s leading trade event for the HVAC industry returns to Beijing next month with a strong focus on eco-friendly products and technologies, including a new Clean Energy District Heating Area. Running from 6 – 8 May, the fair will feature more than 1,300 exhibitors from around the world. Last year, the fair attracted 70,202 trade buyers. A comprehensive fringe programme, including the 5th International HVAC Congress (iHVAC), will also guide the industry on upcoming trends and product developments.

The eco-friendly sourcing options on offer at this year’s ISH China & CIHE are boosted by ongoing initiatives by the Chinese government to spur the development in the HVAC sector, which is driving innovation by local manufacturers. The focus is on producing clean, multi-energy heating systems that are smarter, cleaner and more effective. In particular, there is strong product development of industrial boilers, gas heat pumps, solar-powered heat pumps and electric storage heaters.

As such, the Clean Energy District Heating Area will make its debut this year. Featured in hall W3, this zone will showcase innovative technologies and products related to clean urban heating, with a focus on ‘Internet Plus’, a Chinese term that encompasses the likes of mobile Internet, cloud computing, big data and IoT.

ISH China & CIHE has encouraged other exhibitors to showcase their innovative and energy-diverse products this year. In halls E1, E2, E5 and E6, a number of Chinese and international brands will exhibit their latest wall-hung boiler products and technologies. This includes AIC, Alarko, AiKang, Aikeduo, Aipson, AO Smith, Aotaile, Ariston, Azucalido, Bekaert, Bradford White, Bright, Chant, Devotion, Dynasty, Ecoflam, Elco, Fangkuai, Gassero, GMO, Haier, Hansa, Haydn, Helmsburg, Honeywell, IC, Ideal, Inovisen, Italtherm, KD Navien, Kenmo, Kiturami, Kuhnn, Noritz, Pioneer Energy, Powtek, Prima, Radiant, RBI, Rheem, Rinnai, Sanpaula, Sarrlend, Shimge, Siemens, SIME, Siteli, SMS, Topz, Värmebaronen, Vero, Warmhaus and Xinhu.

Further innovation and clean-energy technology for the heat pump sector can be found in halls W3 and W4. There, the leading brands taking part include Airosd, Airpower, AKL, Amitime, Anze, Arco, Cadiff, Changhong, Comaer, Deye, Dotels, ENN, Gree, Hiseer, Kotain, Linuo-Paradigma, Macon, Maituo, Nasen, New Energy, OUTES, Panasonic, Phnix, Power World, Royalstar, Shengneng, Shinco, Stiebel Eltron, Tesso, TCL, Tsinghua Tongfang, Vicot and ZKLT.

Fifth International HVAC Congress to feature seven key events

The highlight of the fair’s fringe programme once again is the International HVAC Congress (iHVAC), in its fifth edition this year. Within this Congress are a number of events, including the Clean Heating Development Summit: Integrated Application of Diverse Energy Technologies. Organised by the China District Heating Association (CDHA) and Federation of German Heating Industry (BDH), the theme this year is Sustainable Heating: Optimisation for Diverse Energy Solutions, with global energy transformation trends in the HVAC industry and the future of clean energy heating in China to be discussed.

As well as the Summit, the iHVAC will feature six other sessions:

  •  Electric Heating Forum, organised by the Power Energy Substitution Industrial Development Branch of China Electricity Council
    •    Solar Heating Forum, organised by the Clean Energy Heating Committee of China Construction Metal Structure Association
    •    Fresh Air Systems, organised by the China Mechanical Ventilation Industry Alliance, China Ventilation Technology Management Center, China Passive House Technology Management Center and Association of Air Conditioning and Ventilation in Buildings (FGK)
    •    Home Comfort Systems and HVAC & BIM Technology Forum, organised by the Comfortable Household Branch Radiate Heating & Cooling Supply Committee of China Construction Metal Structure Association
    •    Innovative and Smart Heating Technologies Forum, organised by the China Intelligent Heating and Refrigeration Industry Technology Innovation Alliance
    •    Air Source Heat Pump Heating Technologies, organised by the Heat Pump Committee of China Energy Conservation Association and Efficient Heating Project of International Copper Association

In addition, the 5th Technical Conference of Clean Energy Heating in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area, Technical Forum for Floor Cooling & Heating Systems and China Heating and Home Comfort System Forum (Beijing) will also be held during the three days of the fair. Furthermore, a number of seminars will also take place, details of which can be found on the ISH China & CIHE website.

ISH China & CIHE is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and CIEC Union (Beijing) International Exhibition Ltd. It is headed by the biennial ISH event in Frankfurt, Germany, the world’s leading trade fair for HVAC + Water which will next take place from 22 – 26 March 2021.
