Thousands of students have fast tracked their career into a trade through Vancouver Island University’s Trades and Applied Technology programs. With more than 20 different programs from hairstyling to heavy equipment operator, horticulture, culinary, welding and so much more, the professionals teaching these programs are excited and passionate about helping to build the skilled trades workforce. Teaching methods have had to adjust this past year due to the pandemic. For the fall 2020 students, the trades and applied tech instructors took the time to introduce themselves and what to expect in a hybrid learning model through this virtual VIU Trades tour.
