Metro Vancouver – Builders Code Acceptable Worksite Pledge Signing

July 2nd, 2020

Metro Vancouver signed the Builders Code Acceptable Worksite Pledge, which speaks to the right everyone has to a safe and productive environment.
The Builders Code and its Pledge is intended to help employers and associations involved in the construction industry to improve safety and productivity by reducing instances of discrimination, hazing, harassment, and bullying.
The goal is to improve the recruitment and retention of skilled tradespeople – especially in non-traditional groups like women, youth, visible minorities and other under-represented groups. Diverse voices in this sector must be heard, supported and celebrated. (Taped June 19, 2020)
