Rivalry in architecture and construction is nothing new. Architects strive to design stronger, bigger, and more luxurious buildings than their competition. Countries and cities also compete in this race. So it doesn’t really come as a surprise that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates do the same. Their rivalry is strong as both sides try to outdo one another. When Burj Khalifa in Dubai dazzled the world with its sheer power and beauty it was only a matter of time when Saudi Arabia will try to beat it. Their answer to this challenge is Jeddah Tower.
