Canada’s First 3D Concrete Printed Home Tour by nidus3D

In partnership with Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex, and the University of Windsor, nidus3D delivered North America’s first residentially permitted multi-unit 3D printed building. The build includes four self-contained 560 square foot homes and was partially funded through Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s Innovation Fund.

As Canada’s first residentially permitted 3D-printed building, Leamington serves as proof of concept and paves the path for quicker and more cost-effective homes for Canadian families. nidus3D uses a CSA-approved concrete mix, and nidus3D-pioneered onsite-manufactured lift in components to maximize the printing area of the COBOD BOD2 printer.
